Baseball Trivia (4-27-09)
So you think you know baseball? Try your luck with the following:
1) Situation: A reliever enters the game with two outs and a runner on second. The reliever picks him off, retiring the side without throwing a single pitch to the plate. The manager inserts a pinch hitter for the reliever. Who is due to lead off the next inning? Is this legal?
2) Situation: With a man on first, a catcher snags a foul fly, falls into the dugout, and throws to first before the runner can return. What is the call?
3) A ball strikes an authorized press photographer in the back while he is running away from the ball. Is the ball dead?
